The mission of the WVNG Human Resources Office is to plan, direct and administer human resource programs for all full-time National Guard personnel to ensure relevance by leveraging technology, improving our processes and disseminating timely and accurate information so that we can provide a trained and ready workforce to meet mission requirements.

Our vision is to be the respected and noted leader in Human Resources throughout the nation providing timely, accurate service and support to the full-time National Guard personnel meeting the highest of standards and adding value to our customers, community and state.

NEW CONTACT INFORMATION/PROCESSES FOR TECHNICIANS & TECHNICIAN SUPERVISORS

In order to accurately track and vet all HRO inquiries, we have set up some new processes to better expedite questions and to assist with resolutions of personnel issues.  As has been our practice, we have a technician hotline number, 304-561-6749, manned by a live employee.  This hotline number is manned from 0730-1600.  All calls are logged and vetted to the appropriate section.   It is our practice to have our members check these incoming messages at 1500 every day and to return phone calls at that time to avoid interruption of daytime operations.  In addition, we have an administrative assistant at the entrance to HRO to help all walk-in customers identify the appropriate party for availability of those HRO employees needed.  For better assistance, please schedule appointments for needed staffers.  In addition, all other inquiries can be sent to the below email boxes for resolution:

General Technician Information:

 - All technician vacancies will be posted through USA Jobs. This only applies to technician vacancies (not AGR vacancies).

 - This new advertisement and selection process is federally mandated and further automates the hiring process. The WVNG will utilize USA Staffing which is a tool to advertise vacancies and make selections through USA Jobs. 

 - ACTION REQUIRED BY FUTURE APPLICANTS:
As an applicant, you MUST create an account in USA Jobs and create a resume. Upon the first time applying for a WVNG technician vacancy, you will be redirected to USA Staffing Application Manager to create an account. Once these steps are complete, you will be able to apply for future WVNG technician vacancies advertised through USA Jobs. Hand-carried or e-mailed applications will NO longer be accepted in HRO for vacancies advertised through USA Jobs. If you hand-carry an application to HRO for a vacancy posted in USA Jobs, you will be directed to create an account and resume within USA Jobs.
