Soldiers and Airmen compete in WV/DC 2023 Best Warrior

Staff Sgt. Avery Liller, Dept of Emergency Services, earned the title of West Virginia Army National Guard Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) of the Year during the state's Best Warrior Competition award ceremony on April 23, 2023, at Camp Dawson, in Kingwood, West Virginia. A total of 28 Soldiers and Airmen competed in a variety of combat tasks meant to test their mental and physical limits. Winners of the competition will move on to the National Guard Bureau Region II competition to be held in Virginia in May. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Edwin L. Wriston)
