MARTINSBURG, W.Va. –
Staff Sgt. Seth Morris is a maintenance management production specialist for the Plans, Scheduling and Documentation section of the 167th Maintenance Group. He has served with the 167th Airlift Wing for seven years.
Morris helps to provide safe and reliable aircraft by ensuring equipment is regularly maintained and ready whenever it is needed.
“I ensure we accomplish time sensitive maintenance on the aircraft so pilots can meet their requirements and I ensure that we generate the best aircraft possible to meet real world missions,” Morris said.
Morris and his team track numerous items for each jet, making certain that parts are changed according to schedule and time compliance technical orders are followed helping to ensure the safety of each flight.
He also maintains the historical documentation for the wing’s fleet of C-17 Globemaster III aircraft.
Morris’s supervisor, Senior Master Larry Carper, said Morris is a proven asset to the West Virginia Air National Guard.
“He has consistently demonstrated a dedicated work ethic and superior technical job skills in a variety of complex and stressful work situations,” Carper said.
Morris said that working with other units, creating easier processes and training their troops, has been the most rewarding part of his military career, so far, and he is proud of the relationships that he has built with his counterparts.
Morris is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in information technology.
His hobbies include spending time with his family and raising his son to be a selfless, caring individual. He also enjoys sports, swimming and hiking.
