167th delivers recovery equipment to Florida

A C-17 Globemaster III operated by the 167th Airlift Wing is loaded with six generators and a Large Area Maintenance Shelter (LAMS) from the 635th Materiel Maintenance Squadron based at Holloman Air Force Base N.M., Oct. 17, 2018. The C-17 deliever the equipment to Tyndall AFB the following day with the assistance of a contingency response team from the 821st Contingency Response Group, Travis AFB, Calif. Tyndall AFB took a direct hit from Hurricane Michael, which made landfall as a category 4 storm on Oct. 10. The 635th Materiel Maintenance Group is the Air Force’s only organic Basic Expeditionary Airfield Resources (BEAR) unit. The Group is responsible for the storage, inspection, repair, deployment, and accountability of BEAR assets belonging to Air Force Materiel Command and Air Combat Command. 167th Airlift Wing officers participate in exchange program

Lt. Col. Teddy Wundenberg, a maintenance officer for Helicopter Wing 64 of the German Air Force, and Maj. Christopher Tusing, 167th Logistics Readiness Squadron commander, pose for a photo in Munich, Germany during an Oktoberfest parade. Tusing spent about two weeks in Germany with Wundenberg as part of the Military Reserve Exchange Program.
