Command Sergeant Major Aaron T. Kincaid is the West Virginia Army National Guard State Command Sergeant Major. In his current position, CSM Kincaid represents and advises The Assistant Adjutant General Army on matters pertaining to policies and actions that affect the nearly 4,000 enlisted Soldiers of the West Virginia Army National Guard.
CSM Aaron T. Kincaid entered the United States Marine Corps in September 1991 and attended Recruit Training at Parris Island, South Carolina. In December of 1998, he transitioned into the West Virginia Army National Guard. CSM Kincaid previously served as the G3 Sergeant Major at JFHQ in Charleston WV.
His military assignments include 3rd FSSG Okinawa, Japan, Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS 271) Cherry Point NC, Combat Service Support Detachment (CSSD 61) Guantanamo Bay Cuba, 1092nd Engineer Battalion, 193rd Engineer Platoon, 119th Sapper Company, 111th Engineer Brigade. CSM Kincaid was deployed in 2003 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and 2021 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (Spartan Shield).
His civilian education consists of a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Mountain State University and a master’s degree in safety management from West Virginia University. His military education includes Corporals Leadership Course (USMC), Sergeants Course (USMC), Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officers Course, SEJPME-1 and 2, Sergeants Major Academy, Battle Staff, Operations NCO Course, Senior Leader in Charge Course, Antiterrorism Officer, Physical Security course, Combat Lifesaver Course, Master Trainer Course, Rappel Masters Course, Air Assault Course, and the Strategic Planning and Management Course.

He married the former Kelly Elaine Cline of Marietta, OH on January 14, 2006. They have resided in Waverly, WV since 2010 and have one Daughter, Layne (18).
