The 2024 West Virginia National Guard’s Best Warrior Competition is in full swing at Camp Dawson, West Virginia.
Throughout the weekend, competitors will be evaluated on grueling tasks including ruck marching, weapons qualification, weapons assembly, and combat water survival skills.

The State Inspector General (IG) functions as an extension of The Adjutant General’s (TAG) eyes, ears, voice, and conscience. They serve as a personal staff officer, and confidential representative of TAG. State IGs also advise TAG on matters concerning the well-being and readiness of service members, civilians, military technicians, and family members.
