Firefighters from the Florida Air National Guard and the West Virginia Air National Guard trained on an aircraft fire simulator at Gulfport Combat Readiness Training Center in Gulfport, Mississippi, Feb. 23, 2025, during combined emergency response training. Soldiers earn home inspector certification, continuing RISE WV mission

Thanks to a memorandum of agreement with Bridge Valley Community and Technical College (BVCTC) and the Home Inspector Training Institute (HITI), three iterations of an accredited, 80-hour home inspector course were opened to West Virginia Army National Guard Soldiers currently working in the RISE West Virginia program. The WVARNG has around 20 Soldiers employed full-time with RISE West Virginia, a flood recovery program designed to assist those who were impacted by the devastating floods of June 2016 that impacted large swaths of the state.
