The West Virginia National Guard held their first joint Air and Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition at Camp Dawson from April 7 to April 9. Competitors went through a series of challenges that included a ruck march, an obstacle course, M4 and M9 ranges, and more. Congratulations to the 2017 W.Va. National Guard Best Warrior champions:
Sgt. Joshua Martin, 119th Engineer Sapper Company, Best Army NCO;
Spc. Avery Liller, 157th Military Police, Best Soldier;
Staff Sgt. Kyle McCormick, 130th Security Forces Squadron, Best Air NCO;
Senior Airman Johnathan Flynn, 130th Security Forces Squadron, Best Airman.
