772nd Aviation Troop Command

Hometown: Charleston, WV

Job Title: Army Aviation Support Facility #1 Operations Officer

Civilian job: Active Guard, full time with the WVNG

How long have you served in the WVARNG: 6 years

Education: Regents Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia University

Hobbies: Camping, four-wheeling

I am proudest of: Being one of the few female pilots in the state of WV, being able to inspire young girls and teens to do anything they set their mind to.

The best day of my life: Commissioning as an officer in the WVNG. I’ve always wanted to be in the military growing up and help others in any way I can. I worked hard and fulfilled my dream after graduating from WVU and their Army ROTC program.

Favorite moment in the WVNG: Participating in Swift Water Rescue Training on the Cheat River in Camp Dawson. It was great and valuable training for everyone involved. It was rewarding to see everyone enjoy themselves throughout the training and want to participate again.

What do you like best about the WVNG: There is a sense of community and camaraderie. My leadership and peers guide me daily to overcome obstacles and succeed in my career.
