West Virginia Army National Guard Medical Readiness Detachment Earns National Recognition for FY2024

68W Combat Medics with the West Virginia National Guard undergo recertification training at Camp Dawson, Kingwood, West Virginia, on February 4, 2024. More than 40 medics participated in the required training to maintain their National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certifications that involved clinical scenarios, TC 8-800 trauma lanes, scene size up and patient assessments using the MARCH algorithm (Massive hemorrhage, Airway, Respirations, Circulation/CSPINE, Hypo/Hypothermia), evacuation protocols, and aerial loading and unloading of patients.
