Brig. Gen. Michaelle Munger

Brig. Gen. Michaelle Munger assumed the duties as Special Assistant to the Adjutant General, West Virginia Joint Force Headquarters – West Virginia on 1 October 2021. As the Special Assistant to the Adjutant General, she assists the Adjutant General in special projects such as the Joint Diversity Executive Council, assisting to create an organizational culture where diversity is valued as a personnel readiness emphasizing mentorship and career management throughout the Force, and any other initiatives in support of the West Virginia National Guard. She is currently employed as a civilian as a Senior Environmental Scientist out of Gloucester, Virginia.

 

Brig. Gen. Michaelle Munger was commissioned in the U.S. Transportation Corps in May 1994 through the Reserve Officer Training Course at Christopher Newport University, Newport, Virginia, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology w/minor in Spanish. She earned her first Master of Science in Environmental Studies from California State University-Fullerton, Fullerton, California. Brigadier General Munger completed the Joint Advanced Warfighting School (JAWS), National Defense University, Joint Forces Staff College, Normandy Hall, Norfolk, Virginia, where she earned her second Master of Science in Campaign Planning and Strategy.
